WeatherTech products are an American success story

Dave MacNeil founder of WeatherTech is a serious American patriot. "In an age when much manufacturing has been outsourced to China and other low-wage nations, WeatherTech's entire line of more than 5,000 car floor mats, rooftop cargo carriers, side-window deflectors, license plate frames and mud flaps is made in America, much of it in the 400,000 square feet of factory and warehouse space in Downers Grove and Bolingbrook he built in the past five years. He reminds everyone of that fact in an almost-impossible-to-miss outpouring of print ads, billboards and television commercials."(source

  1. I am a staunch advocate for buying American and love your enthusiasm for keeping commerce/production on our soil. The Made in USA Stuff blog is a great, practical website that gives good information on how we can get great products but still support our own economy. I just came across these: http://www.bootcity.com/men-s-boots-made-in-america and thought that's it's such a shame that we've outsourced one of our most iconic products. The cowboy boot represents volumes of American historical and cultural heritage, and I think that buying American boots is a small but potent way to get in touch with American tradition. Just some food for thought - keep up the great work on your blog!

    Regards,

    Randy
